My architect friend, Punn Tungkasmit, who is working for CPAC company, was assigned a product design project in which he has to use leftover cylindrical concrete blocks waste from the company’s overproduction to create furniture pieces using indoors, focusing on household uses. He asked me and my friend, Nagara na Nagara to join the team, so we can develop the project in architectural and product design approaches.

Eventually, the project come up with a collection of furniture which consisted of a coat rack, a bicycle rack, and a side table. All of them were designed based on the heaviness of the cylindrical block’s property, in order to create a consistent base for the furniture collection and provide related functions at the same time. The three cylindrical blocks are wrapped over by 1/2” steel rods which create different object types for the collection.
